Medicinal herbs are present in many cosmetic products that can be purchased in stores, but they retain their useful properties in this case for a short time. In this regard, purchased creams and masks after some time become less effective than they were at the time of purchase. You can also use healing herbs for facial skin in natural form, preparing decoctions, infusions and masks from them at home.
Dandelion
In cosmetology, dandelion has long been used for facial skin in anti-aging treatments. The plant also helps with dermatological problems, with it you can get rid of freckles and whiten facial skin. The composition of the plant includes rubber substances, vitamins A, B, C, E, PP, organic acids, resins, sterols and saponins.
The most effective are cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation, which use masks and cosmetic dandelion ice.
- Anti-aging mask. To prepare this mask, you need to take dandelion juice in an amount of 5 ml, 1 avocado, 5 g of starch. Make an avocado puree and then mix all the ingredients. The resulting mass should be applied to a pre-stewed face, leave for 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. The mask can be applied to the face 2 times a week. After a few applications, the deep and small wrinkles on the skin are noticeably smoothed, and the relief of the face becomes more elastic.
- cosmetic ice. To prepare this product you need: 10-15 ml of dandelion juice, 50 ml of distilled water, 5 ml of hazelnut oil. All ingredients must be mixed together, poured into molds and sent to the freezer. With ready-made cubes you need to wipe your face, it is recommended to do this in the evening, the skin of the face must first be cleaned of makeup. The procedure should be carried out in sessions of 10 days, and the course of treatment should not exceed 3 times a year.
Rosemary
Rosemary can replace any lifting agent, as it contains the protein HSP70, which can slow down the aging process at the cellular level. In addition, the plant contains tannins, fatty acids, vitamins and trace elements that can heal and rejuvenate facial skin.
Rosemary is most often used in the form of essential oil, which can be purchased at most cosmetic stores and pharmacies. In order to prepare cosmetics at home, we will have to grow the plant ourselves, as in its natural form it very rarely falls on the shelves of shops and pharmacies.
- Rejuvenating mask. To prepare the mask, you need to grind half a banana puree, then add 50 ml of avocado oil and infusion or decoction of rosemary. The amount of decoction or infusion should be calculated, given that the finished mask should resemble a thick sour cream in consistency. The product can be applied on the face 2-3 times a week, after which the skin becomes more elastic, wrinkles are smoothed.
- Decoction. To prepare a decoction, you need to take 20 g of dried rosemary leaves, pour 200 ml of boiling water and place in a water bath for 15-20 minutes. The finished broth should be filtered before use. Take 50 ml 2 times a day.
- Infusion. The drug is prepared from 50 g of leaves of the plant, which should be watered with a glass of boiling water and infused for 3-4 hours, it is recommended to do this in a thermos or wrap the container with the infusion in something warm. After the allotted time, the infusion should be filtered.
Important! Decoctions and infusions of rosemary can also be used in the form of compresses or to make cosmetic ice.
camomile
Chamomile contains many valuable vitamins, trace elements and organic acids. All this together helps to rejuvenate, moisturize and whiten facial skin, making it more elastic and resilient. In cosmetology, the most effective result can be achieved with the help of decoctions and infusions of chamomile.
- Decoction. To prepare the product, it is necessary to pour dried chamomile flowers - 25 grams with a glass of warm boiled water and put on a water bath for half an hour. The finished broth should be filtered and, if necessary, diluted with boiled water. Means for wiping the skin of the face and décolleté. After application, wrinkles on the face are visibly reduced and smoothed.
- Infusion. To prepare a tincture of chamomile, you need to pour a tablespoon of dried and crushed plant with a glass of boiling water and insist for half an hour. The finished product should be filtered and, as in the previous recipe, wipe the skin with it.
sage
The use of sage for cosmetic purposes will help cleanse the skin of the face and preserve its youth for a long time. The plant contains anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic substances, which is why sage is so widely used in cosmetology.
- Facial infusion. Ready-made sage infusion can be used as an additive to lotion or tonic, as well as used in the form of compresses and face lotions. To prepare an infusion of sage, pour 3 tablespoons of dry ingredients with a glass of boiling water and infuse in a thermos for 2 hours. The resulting infusion should be cooled, filtered, refrigerated and used as needed. From this infusion you can make cosmetic cubes - pour into molds and put in the freezer, and in the morning and evening wipe your face with them.
- Decoction. Decoction of sage effectively affects the skin of the face, rejuvenating and toning it. To prepare it, three tablespoons of sage should be poured boiling water and brewed for another 15 minutes. The resulting product should be cooled, filtered and washed with it once a day.
There are many medicinal plants in nature that can be effectively used for cosmetic purposes. The main thing is to do it right so that the plant used does not harm, but rather brings maximum benefit from the application.
